Abstract
Iran-Turkey relations are based on a fragile balance that does not stem from deep trust, but from interdependence and avoiding the high costs of conflict. The future of this relationship depends on the ability of the two countries to manage geopolitical and security competitions, along with maximum exploitation of economic opportunities. The desired perspective is within non-escalation frameworks and a significant expansion of practical cooperation for regional stability and the welfare of the two countries. In this regard, the present study, using a descriptive-analytical method and an applied research type, seeks to answer the question of which components are the most important obstacles to the development of Iran-Turkey interactions and what is the effective strategy for expanding these relations? The sample size of the statistical population was determined as 50 people based on the Cochran model. The data collection method was through library and field studies, and the SWOT model was used to analyze the research findings. The results of the research showed that the current strategic situation of Iran and Turkey is based on the SO strategy approach, and the desired strategy helps the two countries to achieve growth and improvement by focusing on their capabilities and competitive advantages in the West Asian region. Based on this strategy, the two countries should make the best use of their strengths and identify and exploit new opportunities.
