Abstract

This study seeks to examine the geopolitical actions of the Resistance Axis in the context of the Israel-Gaza conflict, particularly following the escalation on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a coordinated attack on Israel, prompting a severe military response. The primary aim of the research is to explore how the Resistance Axis, which consists of key actors such as Iran, Hezbollah, and other allied groups, has responded to the Israeli military actions in Gaza, and how these responses have influenced not only regional power dynamics but also broader political discourses in the Middle East and beyond. The Resistance Axis has long been characterized by its opposition to Israeli policies and its role in shaping the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East. By examining the strategies employed by the Axis, the research aims to uncover how these actors use geopolitical tools to challenge Israeli hegemony, influence the Palestinian cause, and reshape the broader regional and global power structures. Specifically, the research will focus on how the Resistance Axis has leveraged its military, ideological, and diplomatic resources to counter Israeli influence and reinforce broader Islamic and Palestinian nationalist ideologies. This study also aims to assess the long-term impact of these geopolitical actions on the stability and political alignment of Middle Eastern countries.
