Abstract
China's increasing power, especially in the military field, and its increasing influence in the region have caused concern among China's neighboring countries, leading them to cooperate and become closer to the United States to create a balance against China. China, as the largest intra-regional power, and the United States, as the dominant global power, play an important role in the security equations of the Asia-Pacific region.
This article seeks to address the importance of the Asia-Pacific region for China and the United States, using a descriptive-analytical method and using available sources, and to answer the question of what are the components of the confrontation between the United States and China in the Asia-Pacific region? Answer. The findings show that, given China's economic and military growth, the United States and its allies are trying to limit and challenge China as a power influencing regional and global processes through coalition-building and regional alliances. China, which finds itself surrounded by American allies, is trying to break the chain of American allies around it and challenge the United States by employing multiple strategies, such as expanding economic relations, the Belt and Road Initiative, and military modernization.
