One of the aspects that can be relied on in the process of changing the global structure is the mutual movement of globalization and regionalism; in such a way that international relations and its issues have also affected the foreign policies of countries. Considering the spread of neo-regionalism and globalization, which has focused the efforts of countries, especially developing ones, on achieving the strengthening of national authority, the promotion of Iran's geopolitics is also inseparable from this dominant trend in global development. Iran and Central Asia, in their continuity and proximity, their geographical location that creates mutual geopolitical dependence, and their common historical-civilizational background, can become the central and organic core of a larger regional organization. In this research, and according to the mechanism of global-regionalization, the most important factors affecting the promotion of Iran's geopolitics in Central Asia were identified in two components of capacities and challenges and analyzed by ranking them on a Likert scale. According to the results of a survey of 55 experts related to the research topic, the ineffectiveness of the development-oriented foreign policy was identified as the most challenging variable, and the access-passage advantage was identified as the most important capacity-building variable for promoting Iran's geopolitical position in Central Asia. Given the driving role of the economy in regional development and convergence, in the short term, removing obstacles to strengthening Iran's trade and industrial ties with this region is a priority. The strategic policy of continuing convergence in this region requires making Iran's advantages competitive in regional and trans-regional competitions; in such a way that the neo-regional foreign policy becomes a long-term goal in order to promote Iran's geopolitics with solutions resulting from the synergy of the two geographical realms of access-passage and cultural Iran.
